Michel Sardou is a French singer-songwriter born in Paris in 1947, the son of music-hall performer Fernand Sardou. Recording since the mid-1960s, he became one of France's best-selling artists on the strength of hits such as "La Maladie d'amour" and "Les Lacs du Connemara," and released "Loin" from the 2004 album Du Plaisir.
