Patrick Dewaere (1947-1982) was a French actor of restless, intense energy who became a leading figure of 1970s French cinema through Going Places opposite Gérard Depardieu and Alain Corneau's Série noire. He played the young journalist Bernard in Henri Verneuil's financial thriller Mille milliards de dollars, one of his final roles before his death at thirty-five. (Wikipedia)
