Shota Sometani is a Japanese actor born 3 September 1992 in Tokyo. A former child actor, he took his first lead role in the 2009 Osamu Dazai adaptation Pandora's Box before breaking out opposite Fumi Nikaido in Sion Sono's Himizu (2011), which won him the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor at the Venice Film Festival; he later led the live-action Parasyte films. He plays the dual role of twin hospital directors Hiroto and Takato Kozu in Doctor-X: The Movie Final (2024). (Wikipedia)
