Doctor-X: The Movie Final (劇場版ドクターX FINAL) is the 2024 theatrical finale of Doctor-X: Surgeon Michiko Daimon, the medical drama franchise that ran on TV Asahi for twelve years. Freelance surgeon Michiko Daimon (Ryoko Yonekura) returns to Totei University Hospital after saving a foreign head of state, only to find the institution transformed by new director Hiroto Kozu, whom Shota Sometani plays in a dual role alongside Kozu's twin brother Takato; the reforms he pushes collide with Daimon's own past and the hospital's culture of institutional cover-ups. Kenichi Endo reprises recurring surgeon Ebina from the television series. Toho released the film in Japan on 6 December 2024, closing the franchise Yonekura has led since its 2012 debut. (IMDb)
