Toshinori Omi is a Japanese actor, born 7 December 1965 in Tokyo's Meguro Ward, whose lead role in Nobuhiko Obayashi's 1982 film Tenkosei won the Japan Academy Prize for Newcomer of the Year; he went on to appear in 19 of Obayashi's films and long-running roles in Onihei Hankachou and the NHK dramas Teppan and Amachan.
