The Watches of Resident Evil
More actions
Leon S. Kennedy has a SuperGroupies anniversary watch bearing his name. It was made as character merchandise, so it needs a place beside the game appearances rather than a slot in their chronology.
The remake's unresolved digital
Leon's digital in Resident Evil 4 (2023) has an unbranded G-Shock-like case. A Casio-community discussion compares its case with the DW-6900 while noting that the dial layout differs; another commenter proposes the GWX-8900. The case and display point toward different Casio models. (r/casio discussion)
A separate game asset shows a bracelet chronograph with three registers. Its maker remains unidentified.
The digital is best described as G-Shock-like until a candidate accounts for both the case and its different display.
A Leon watch made for the anniversary
The SuperGroupies Leon S. Kennedy Model has a different relationship to Resident Evil 4 (2005). SuperGroupies describes it as a character-inspired watch in the BIOHAZARD 25th-anniversary collection. Leon's name appears on the dial, while a brown accent on the seconds hand refers to his jacket. The back carries the anniversary logo. The manufacturer presents those details as character references; it does not identify this as Leon’s on-screen watch. (SuperGroupies)
The three subdials might suggest a chronograph at a glance. SuperGroupies instead specifies day, date and 24-hour indications, powered by the Miyota 6P29. That is a functional distinction from the unidentified chronograph pictured in the remake.
Grace's Pan Europ and Leon's Khaki
Resident Evil Requiem supplies two explicit character assignments. Hamilton identifies Grace Ashcroft as the wearer of the Pan Europ H35455730, and Leon as the wearer of the Khaki Field Auto Chrono H71636330. The product records document both references and runs of 2,000 each. (Hamilton: Pan Europ; Hamilton: Khaki Field)
Grace's Pan Europ is an automatic day-date with gold-colored details against black. Leon's Khaki is an automatic chronograph with cartridge-shaped pushers and a wing motif. The difference extends beyond two color schemes: one has a rotating bezel and day-date display, the other adds chronograph controls and registers.
Hamilton attributes specific meanings to the Khaki's decoration, including a connection between the wing and Leon's history. That explanation concerns the 2026 collaboration.
