Casio G-Shock: Searching a man's vehicle, Rain confirms it is his and notes that apart from its contents and a Casio G-Shock on his wrist the man is traveling sterile, carrying nothing that identifies him. Later Rain runs the same inventory in his head, the quality knives and the Casio G-Shock, and reads them as the everyday carry of a careful survivor. The verified passages describe the wearer by his habits rather than by name, so no character is recorded. Elsewhere the novel uses G-Shocks, aviator shades and short hair as the tells its operators avoid.
