Watches

Universal Genève Tri-Compax

At the Port Authority Bus Terminal, Barry drags a rollerboard of watches down a broken escalator. He worries about jolting the manually wound pieces, especially his Universal Genève Tri-Compax, which the narrator describes as an early-1940s watch in fragile condition. His automatic watches travel in Swiss Kubik winders. (Penguin Random House, publisher's excerpt)
