Hampden was an American watch maker in business from 1877. The Dueber Watch Case Company of Cincinnati bought it in 1888 and moved both firms to Canton, Ohio, where Hampden movements were sold in Dueber cases until the companies merged in 1923. Pocket-watch sales fell after the First World War, the business closed in 1927 and the factory was sold to Soviet Russia in 1930. (Wikipedia)
