It follows a group of people who fake their deaths and decide to form a vigilante team in order to stage a coup d'état against a ruthless dictator. Directed by Michael Bay from a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the 2019 Netflix action film casts Ryan Reynolds as "One," a tech billionaire who erases his own identity to fund and lead the six-person crew through Florence, Hong Kong and the fictional state of Turgistan. Chopard supplied the watches under its first product-placement deal with Netflix, so the jewellery on screen is the maison's own catalogue rather than prop-house filler. (IMDb, WWD)
