Jordan plays First Sergeant Charles Monroe King, who keeps a journal of love and advice for his infant son while deployed in Iraq, and Chanté Adams plays Canedy, his fiancée, who shares it with the boy; Jalon Christian, Robert Wisdom and Tamara Tunie co-star.
