Seiko SKX009
Worn by Robert Redford as Our Man. The one piece of kit that never leaves Our Man through the whole ordeal, and it stays on screen in a film with no dialogue to explain anything. Fratello identifies it as the Pepsi-bezel SKX009, a 200m automatic diver with the offset crown at four o'clock, worn on a blue NATO instead of the stock jubilee bracelet, which is the practical choice for a single-handed sailor. Viewers disagree about the strap colour: it reads burgundy in cinema prints and blue on digital transfers. (Fratello: Watch Spotting: Seiko SKX009 In "All Is Lost") Montres de Luxe instead credits the watch as a Seiko SKX175, a related diver from the same 7S26-powered SKX family; nothing in the wordless film settles the bezel and dial colours cleanly enough to choose between the two references, so both identifications are recorded here rather than resolved.
