Balibo

Robert Connolly's dramatization of the deaths of the Balibo Five, based on Jill Jolliffe's book Cover-Up. As Indonesia prepares to invade East Timor in 1975, five Australian television journalists vanish after covering events near the border town of Balibo. Weeks later, veteran foreign correspondent Roger East travels to Dili at the urging of independence leader José Ramos-Horta to investigate their disappearance and cover the country's story himself, as the invasion closes in around him. Anthony LaPaglia, who also produced the film, stars as Roger East opposite Oscar Isaac as Ramos-Horta. (IMDb)
