The Rolex Submariner is the dive watch Rolex introduced in 1953: an Oyster case on a three-link bracelet with a graduated unidirectional timing bezel, rated to 100 m at launch and to 300 m in current production. (Rolex) The line divides into the no-date original and the Submariner Date added with the 1680 in the late 1960s, and spans aluminium-bezel references through the Cerachrom-bezel generation Rolex rolled out from 2008, in steel, two-tone Rolesor, and gold; no single reference describes the family's screen record.
