Barry Levinson's biographical crime drama, written by James Toback, follows the gangster Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel from his 1941 arrival in Los Angeles through his affair with the starlet Virginia Hill to the building of the Flamingo in Las Vegas, with Warren Beatty as Siegel, Annette Bening as Hill, Harvey Keitel, Ben Kingsley, Elliott Gould, Bebe Neuwirth and Joe Mantegna. Wrist Enthusiast calls its reading "the best guess": a vintage 1940s Bulova Clinton or Comptroller, period-correct and the model the real Siegel wore, matched by the "bullet" lugs; it doubts a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso because "the lugs look too ornate to be a Reverso", and says the dial, which "appears to be dark", gives it pause.
