Annette Bening (born 1958, Topeka, Kansas) is an American actress with four Academy Award nominations, for The Grifters, American Beauty, Being Julia and The Kids Are All Right. She played Mary Haines, the wronged wife at the centre of Diane English's 2008 remake of The Women.
