Jean-Jacques Beineix directs this thriller. Jules, a young moped-riding postman obsessed with an American opera singer, played by Frédéric Andréi, secretly records one of her performances; the illegal bootleg tape gets mixed up with a second incriminating recording, drawing him into a web of gangsters and corrupt police.
