Five years after being sued out of business, the Ghostbusters reunite to fight a river of ectoplasm and a resurrected 16th-century tyrant beneath New York City. (IMDb) Ivan Reitman directs the sequel from a screenplay by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, with Bill Murray returning as Dr. Peter Venkman alongside Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, Ramis, Rick Moranis, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts. Columbia Pictures released the film in June 1989.
