Hamilton Khaki Pilot Day Date

Worn by Matthew McConaughey as Joseph Cooper. Cooper's own watch, and the everyday counterpart to the Khaki Field that Hamilton built for Murph and that carries the film's climactic message. Like Murph's, Cooper's watch was a piece Hamilton made for the production; the Khaki Aviation Pilot Day Date Auto ref. H64615135 recorded here is the catalogue model Hamilton later brought to market, a roughly 42mm steel case with a black dial, ridged applied indices, a day aperture below twelve and a date window above six, and an inner hour ring drawn on Type B Flieger lines, on a steel bracelet. Inside is Hamilton's H-40 automatic, a modified ETA 2834-2 with an 80-hour reserve. A pilot's watch for a man the script writes as farmer, engineer and pilot in that order.
