Jeff Bridges, years before the Dude, plays stowaway primate expert Jack Prescott wearing a Rolex Submariner 5513, the no-date diver then current as a working tool watch, not yet the collector object it has become. Prescott spends much of the film in short sleeves, giving the 5513 unusual screen time. Montres de Luxe corroborates the no-date Rolex Submariner identification without resolving to the 5513 specifically. (WatchReel; Montres de Luxe) Hodinkee, independently of the spotting catalogs, reads the watch as what appears to be a Submariner 5513 on an Oyster bracelet, and times its two clearest showings: Prescott stumbling out of a taxi at the Indonesian dock at 00:01:36, and the bar scene with Dwan at 01:53:20 while Kong takes apart the subway.
