Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017)

From IMWDb
Kingsman: The Golden Circle

A drug cartel called the Golden Circle destroys Kingsman's London headquarters, and the two survivors follow a doomsday protocol to Statesman, the agency's American counterpart hiding behind a Kentucky bourbon distillery, whose agents are code-named for the spirits they sell. (IMDb) Matthew Vaughn directs the sequel to Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014) and wrote it with Jane Goldman; Taron Egerton returns as Eggsy opposite Colin Firth and Mark Strong, with Julianne Moore as Poppy Adams, Halle Berry as Ginger Ale, Pedro Pascal as the lasso-carrying Agent Whiskey, Channing Tatum as Agent Tequila and Jeff Bridges as Statesman's chief, Champagne. It premiered in London on 18 September 2017 and opened in the United States four days later.

Watches

TAG Heuer Monaco Calibre 11
Worn by Pedro Pascal as Jack Daniels (Agent Whiskey). When TAG Heuer announced the partnership in May 2017 it said which service got which watch: the Kingsman agents wear the Connected, while film-goers would see "the legendary Monaco Calibre 11, worn by the American Statesman agents," and the announcement's own product link went to reference CAW211P.FC6356. (TAG Heuer) Montres de Luxe reaches Pascal from the other direction, reporting that the Statesman agents wear TAG Heuer models other than the connected watch and that Pascal's is a Monaco on a leather strap, which is the calfskin execution rather than the steel bracelet. (Montres de Luxe) Together those fix the execution rather than a single reference: the Calibre 11 is the only modern Monaco with the crown on the left and the vintage Heuer shield on a matte blue dial, so Whiskey's square chronograph is the sharpest possible period joke on a man whose cover is bourbon and whose weapon is a rope.

TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 Kingsman Special Edition
Official product partnership — not an in-work appearance. TAG Heuer announced a global partnership with MARV films and Twentieth Century Fox in May 2017 that made the Connected the "Official Watch of The Kingsman," and Jean-Claude Biver unveiled this licensed edition in London on 28 June with Matthew Vaughn and Mr Porter's Toby Bateman; it sold at $3,650 through Mr Porter alone for one month from 6 July 2017. The retail watch reproduces what the agents wear rather than being the object filmed, carrying pink gold lugs, a Kingsman-embossed calfskin strap and an orange alcantara spare cut to match Eggsy's velvet dinner jacket. Vaughn chose a smartwatch because the plot needed one, telling Revolution that a mechanical watch doing all of it "would look stupid; it has to hack into computers, control other technology." TAG Heuer's own announcement says the Kingsman agents wear the Connected on screen, but no published source identifies which agent wears which watch. (TAG Heuer, Revolution)
