Life in Overtime (終わった人, Owatta Hito) is a 2018 Japanese comedy-drama directed by Hideo Nakata for Toei, released 9 June 2018 and adapting Makiko Uchidate's novel of the same name. Hiroshi Tachi stars as Sosuke Tashiro, once a banker on the fast track at a major bank until he was sidelined to a subsidiary and reached mandatory retirement there; with no hobbies or dreams after a life spent entirely on work, Tashiro drifts through empty, purposeless days until an unexpected opportunity pulls him back into the working world. Hitomi Kuroki, Ryoko Hirosue, and Asami Usuda round out the cast. Tachi won best actor for the role at both the 42nd Japan Academy Film Prize and the 61st Blue Ribbon Awards. (Wikipedia)
