Opération Corned-Beef (1991)

From IMWDb
Opération Corned-Beef

Jean-Marie Poiré's spy comedy, the film that first paired Jean Reno and Christian Clavier ahead of their run in Les Visiteurs. Reno plays Captain Philippe Boulier, a legendary DGSE agent nicknamed "Le Squale" (the Shark), tasked with dismantling an international arms-trafficking ring and unmasking a traitor at the top of the French state; to do it, he manipulates an ordinary corporate psychologist, Jean-Jacques Granianski, into an unwitting partnership. Clavier plays Granianski opposite Reno, with Valérie Lemercier also starring. (IMDb; Wikipédia)

Breitling Navitimer
Worn by Jean Reno as Philippe Boulier. Montres de Luxe identifies Boulier's watch as a Breitling "Old Navitimer," a name Breitling used for the Valjoux 7750-based automatic reissue of the 806 shape that the brand put into its catalog in the 1990s; the film's February 1991 release makes that specific reissue chronologically doubtful, so the family-level Navitimer page is used pending a frame that would confirm the actual execution worn.
