Outside The Wire

Directed by Mikael Håfström and released straight to Netflix on 15 January 2021, Outside the Wire is set in a 2036 Eastern Europe where US forces keep the peace between Ukrainian loyalists and a separatist militia (Wikipedia). Damson Idris plays Lt. Thomas Harp, a drone pilot punished for a disobeyed order by being deployed into the field, where he is assigned to Leo (Anthony Mackie, who also produced), a classified android officer running a mission beyond the wire to head off a nuclear attack; Emily Beecham, Michael Kelly and Pilou Asbæk fill out the cast. Shot over eight weeks around Budapest, the film topped Netflix's charts on its debut weekend and reached 66 million households in its first quarter (Wikipedia).
