Caspar Wrede directs this hostage thriller, released in Britain as Ransom and in North America as The Terrorists. A cell of terrorists led by Ray Petrie, played by Ian McShane, seizes the British ambassador to a fictional Scandinavian country, while Colonel Nils Tahlvik, played by Sean Connery, heads the government's uncompromising response.
