The Omega Speedmaster Mark II is a manual-wind chronograph Omega introduced in 1969 as a companion to the round-cased Speedmaster Professional, trading that model's classic silhouette for an angular, hooded-lug tonneau case with a flat mineral crystal. It shares the Professional's caliber 861 movement and tachymeter scale, set beneath the crystal rather than on an external bezel, and ran under the single reference 145.014 from 1969 into the mid-1970s in two dial executions, a standard matte black and a grey "racing dial" with an orange checkered minute track. The automatic Mark III superseded it. (Ottuhr)
