San-Antonio (2004)

From IMWDb
San-Antonio

As a mysterious terrorist plot threatens world leaders, dashing police commissioner Antoine San-Antonio and his bumbling deputy Bérurier are assigned to protect the French ambassador during a stay at a British luxury hotel. When the ambassador is kidnapped through Bérurier's negligence and the President of France is abducted in turn, San-Antonio is recalled from disgrace and given two days and a secret brigade to save the country. (Wikipedia) Directed by Frédéric Auburtin and adapted from Frédéric Dard's long-running pulp-novel series, the film stars Gérard Lanvin as San-Antonio alongside Gérard Depardieu as Bérurier; Pathé released it in France on 21 July 2004.

Watches

Cartier Roadster Chronograph
Worn by Gérard Lanvin as Antoine San-Antonio. Montres de Luxe identifies San-Antonio's watch as a Cartier Roadster chronograph on a steel bracelet, without naming a reference. Cartier had added the automatic chronograph to its Roadster line only shortly before this film's July 2004 release, so the sighting sits right at the model's market debut. (Montres de Luxe)
