Saving Mother Robot (瑪德2號) is a 2013 Taiwanese fantasy comedy directed by Zhu Jialin, released August 9, 2013. Single mother Cao Yi (Vivian Hsu) struggles to balance work and raising her son Xiao Hu, who imagines his overworked mother as a run-down robot needing an upgrade; when Cao Yi is assigned to assist Xiao Tie (Huang Xiaoming), an eccentric photographer obsessed with hunting UFOs, his own single-parent upbringing gives him an unexpected rapport with the boy.
