The Tissot PRS 516 is a motorsport-themed sports line descended from the PR 516 of 1965, a steel watch whose perforated bracelet imitated the drilled spokes of a period racing steering wheel and whose initials stood for "Particularly Resistant." Tissot later revived the name as PRS 516, reading it as "Precise, Robust and Sporty" and carrying over the perforated straps and piston-shaped pushers that gave the original its garage-floor character. The automatic chronograph version runs a Valjoux A05.H31 with a 60-hour power reserve in a 45 mm case rated to 100 m, though the family spans quartz and automatic references in several sizes.
