Sleuth

Sleuth, directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz from Anthony Shaffer's adaptation of his own play, was released by Palomar Pictures in December 1972. Laurence Olivier plays the crime novelist Andrew Wyke, who invites his wife's lover Milo Tindle, played by Michael Caine, to his country house for an escalating game of psychological cat-and-mouse.
