Speed Racer is a 2008 live-action adaptation about a young driver challenging the corruption surrounding his sport with help from his family and the Mach 5. Emile Hirsch plays Speed, whose bright racing world and family-built car anchor the film's deliberately synthetic visual style. (IMDb)
Watches
- TAG Heuer Monaco
- Worn by Emile Hirsch as Speed Racer. The locker insert shows the square watch resting on a dark wallet behind the yellow racing gloves, beside Speed's helmet and photograph. Two pale subsidiary registers are visible within the dark face. This establishes a watch prop among the driver's belongings, rather than an on-wrist appearance; the shadowed dial does not settle its colour or an exact Monaco reference. (scene frame)
