Clint Eastwood's account of US Airways Flight 1549, adapted by Todd Komarnicki from Chesley Sullenberger's memoir Highest Duty, casts Tom Hanks as the captain who put an Airbus A320 down on the Hudson River in January 2009 with all 155 aboard surviving, then faced a National Transportation Safety Board inquiry into whether he could have made an airport; Aaron Eckhart plays first officer Jeff Skiles and Laura Linney his wife Lorraine. Rolex Datejust

Worn by Tom Hanks as Chesley 'Sully' Sullenberger. The watch is a production-made copy rather than a Rolex: Propstore's Los Angeles Summer 2025 live auction (lot 1024) and Los Angeles Spring 2026 live auction (lot 1236) each sold a set of Sullenberger's accessories including "a metal watch designed, painted gold, and branded by production to resemble a real-world Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust watch", the second essay adding that Sully "wore his class ring and Rolex watch when he called his wife Lorrie Sullenberger (Laura Linney) regarding the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigation". The lot frames show a two-tone watch on a jubilee-pattern bracelet with a fluted bezel and light dial on Hanks's left wrist, the Rolesor Datejust look the prop imitates; the essays name no reference, and the gold is paint over base metal. The same lots note that the cellphone and class ring "differ in color and wear from those seen in the final cut", a caveat they do not extend to the watch. (Propstore lot 1024; Propstore lot 1236)
