Stuart Blumberg's directorial debut, which premiered at Toronto in 2012 and reached US theatres the following year, follows three New Yorkers who meet through a twelve-step program for sex addiction. Mark Ruffalo plays Adam, five years abstinent and unsure how to begin a relationship; Josh Gad plays Neil, a doctor attending under court order; Tim Robbins plays Mike, the veteran group leader whose own family is unravelling.
