Lee Toland Krieger's romance stars Blake Lively as Adaline Bowman, born in San Francisco in 1908, who stops ageing at twenty-nine after a car accident in 1937 and spends the decades that follow changing her name and address every ten years. Michiel Huisman plays the man who makes her want to stop running, Harrison Ford his father, who knew her in the 1960s, and Ellen Burstyn her daughter. Lionsgate released it in April 2015. Worn by Blake Lively as Adaline Bowman. Premiere Props sold the watch on 17 December 2016 (lot 9) as "Adaline Bowman (Blake Lively) screen used, hero, metal with elastic like band 'Elegin' wrist watch". The catalogue's "Elegin" is read here as Elgin. The lot photograph shows a small gold-tone rectangular ladies' watch with stepped lugs and a pale dial on a gold-tone expansion band, a mid-century piece of the kind a woman born in 1908 would have kept; the dial signature is too small to read, and the lot names no model.
