Worn by Paul Newman as Eddie Felson. Felson wears a steel Rolex Datejust on a Jubilee bracelet throughout the film. HODINKEE cites ref. 16200, but Rolex introduced that reference in 1988, two years after the film, so the citation misidentifies the exact watch; on screen is one of the earlier steel Datejust generations; the exact reference remains unresolved. Renfrow, times the opening bar scene at 00:04:38 with Felson's arm on the bar, describes the dinner in which Cruise's Lauria holds the Datejust in his hand while Felson tells him "Human moves, kid", and the toy-store break room, and notes that Aurel Bacs has called this Datejust the "Eddie Felson".
