The Out-of-Towners (1999)

From IMWDb
The Out-of-Towners

Sam Weisman's remake of the 1970 Jack Lemmon comedy, made for Paramount Pictures. A recently laid-off Ohio couple flies to Manhattan for the husband's job interview, and one disaster after another (lost luggage, a mugging, a hotel eviction) drags them through a single ruinous night that ends up saving their marriage. Steve Martin stars as Henry Clark opposite Goldie Hawn's Nancy Clark, with John Cleese as the hotel manager Mersault. (IMDb)

Watches

Hamilton Ardmore
Worn by Steve Martin as Henry Clark. Hamilton lists this film twice, once as "Out of Towners" with a Classic Line watch and once under its full title with an Ardmore. The two entries are not in conflict: Classic Line was Hamilton's umbrella name for its late-1990s reissues of pre-war shapes, and the Ardmore is one of those shapes, so the second entry names the model the first leaves generic. Neither gives a reference. (Hamilton)
