The Hamilton Ardmore is the Lancaster maker's Art Deco rectangular dress watch, introduced in 1937 with a gently curved case, Roman numerals, and a small-seconds subdial that traces back to a 1935 forebear. Hamilton has revived the design repeatedly since, most recently as the American Classic Ardmore Quartz sold today for men and women in several dial and strap combinations. Hamilton's own historical film-credit page places an Ardmore on Steve Martin in The Out-of-Towners (1999), on Toby Jones in Infamous (2006), on George Clooney in The Good German (2007), and on Matt Damon in The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999), without specifying which execution in any case.
