Roman Polanski directed this adaptation of Władysław Szpilman's memoir. Adrien Brody plays Szpilman, a Polish-Jewish pianist who survives the Nazi occupation of Warsaw in hiding, aided in the war's final months by a German officer, Wilm Hosenfeld, played by Thomas Kretschmann. (IMDb)

- Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso
- Worn by Adrien Brody as Władysław Szpilman. Montres de Luxe identifies Szpilman's watch as a yellow-gold Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso, but gives no reference number. (Montres de Luxe) Time+Tide's Reverso list admires a "dressed-down, slightly sloppy and bordering on casual look from The Pianist" that "the black-dialled Reverso saves"; the piece does not say whether it describes a scene or the film's promotion, so its black dial cannot be reconciled with Montres de Luxe's yellow-gold reading.
