The Slap

The Slap (La Gifle), directed by Claude Pinoteau, was released in France in 1974. Lino Ventura plays Jean Doulean, a schoolteacher whose relationship with his teenage daughter Isabelle, played by Isabelle Adjani in her breakout role, fractures after he strikes her in anger.
