Worn by Roger Moore as James Bond. Seiko is named in the end credits, the first time a watch brand was a credited partner on a Bond film, and the props department made the placement earn its billing: in the opening scene the 0674-5009 Quartz LC spools out a ticker-tape summons ordering 007 back to headquarters. The printer was pure fiction bolted onto a real LCD watch, but in 1977 a message arriving on the wrist read as plausible near-future tech, and it recast the Bond watch from Rolex tool to sponsored gadget in a single scene.
