Josef Rusnak's science-fiction thriller for Columbia Pictures, produced by Centropolis Entertainment and adapted from Daniel F. Galouye's novel Simulacron-3. After the man who built a fully immersive 1930s Los Angeles simulation is murdered, his protégé enters the simulation to investigate and begins to doubt the nature of his own reality. Craig Bierko stars alongside Gretchen Mol, Vincent D'Onofrio, and Armin Mueller-Stahl as Hannon Fuller, the simulation's creator. (IMDb)

Hamilton Contour

Worn by Armin Mueller-Stahl as Hannon Fuller. The Contour is Hamilton's 1938 "driver's" watch: hinged wire lugs let the rectangular gold-filled case pivot flat against the side of the wrist, and the caliber 980 runs with its stem at 12 rather than 3 to suit that orientation. Hamilton sold it for two years and reissued it in the 1980s, naming neither run here. Fuller moves between 1937 Los Angeles and 1999 across the film, and a watch of that vintage reads correctly at both ends. (Hamilton)
