The exact model has been argued for decades: most coverage calls it a Tank Cintrée (The Rake), while specialist analyses identify the rarer, more dramatically elongated Tank Allongée (ref. 21612) sold only through Cartier New York (Perpetual Passion). Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox

Worn by Steve McQueen as Thomas Crown. For the afternoon scenes McQueen wears a gold Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox, the mechanical alarm watch JLC introduced in 1951, its second crown winding a separate barrel that sounds a chime against a rotating inner bezel.
