Costume designer Chloe Karmin, working with prop master Pete Dancy, confirmed to British GQ that the young Bourdain wears an original Timex Vietnam Camper on a khaki nylon strap, "always on" whatever he is wearing; the magazine reads the choice against the real Bourdain's later habit of wearing a Timex when filming abroad.
