The Timex Camper is an inexpensive civilian field watch Timex introduced in the early 1980s, adapting the U.S. Army's MIL-W-46374 field-watch specification (published 1964) into a commercial line with a manufacturer's name printed on the dial, unlike genuine mil-spec examples. The Camper's small, one-piece, fixed-lug plastic case and matte black 12/24-hour dial were popularized on screen by Richard Dean Anderson's title character in MacGyver. The line continued through the 1990s and was later revived as the Timex MK1 in 2016 and, separately, reissued under the Timex Originals Camper name; both are distinct from the original vintage production.
