Roger Spottiswoode's political thriller, set in Nicaragua during the 1979 collapse of the Somoza regime. Nick Nolte plays Russell Price, an American photojournalist covering the civil war who slides from documenting the Sandinista rebellion to acting for it: asked to fake a photograph that will conceal the death of the rebels' commander, he agrees. Gene Hackman and Joanna Cassidy play the reporters working beside him. (IMDb)
