What About Bob?

Frank Oz's comedy sends the clinging, multiphobic patient Bob Wiley (Bill Murray) after his new psychiatrist Dr. Leo Marvin (Richard Dreyfuss) to the Marvin family's summer house on Lake Winnipesaukee, where Bob wins over Leo's wife Fay (Julie Hagerty) and children Anna (Kathryn Erbe) and Siggy (Charlie Korsmo) while Leo, author of the self-help book Baby Steps, unravels. Propstore's Los Angeles Summer 2025 online auction (lot 427) sold Dr. Marvin's jacket and accessories, the essay keyed to the appointment book he "kept ... on his desk before he took off on vacation with his family to Lake Winnipesaukee where he tried to teach his son Siggy Marvin (Charlie Korsmo) how to dive"; the lot consists of a Harvard towel, a Polo Ralph Lauren jacket, the appointment book and "a black leather and metal face Seiko watch that is currently nonfunctional", with "worn leather on the watch". The lot's own reference frame from the diving lesson shows the watch on Leo's left wrist, a gold-tone round case with a white dial on a dark leather strap; the essay names the maker only, and no model or reference is readable in the frame.
