あまんじゃく 元外科医の殺し屋が医療の闇に挑む！ is a TV Tokyo drama special produced for the network's 55th anniversary, adapting Izumi Fujimura's novel Amanjaku (Hayakawa Bunko) and broadcast 24 September 2018. Directed by Hisashi Kimura from a script by Yoko Izumisawa, it stars Toshiaki Karasawa as Takao Orikabe, a former surgeon turned hitman who uses his medical expertise to kill wrongdoers the law cannot reach, working on commissions from a mysterious lawyer named Yokokura (Isao Hashizume).
