A Man and His Cat is a twelve-episode TV Tokyo drama that aired from January 6 to March 24, 2021, adapting Umi Sakurai's manga serialized in Monthly Shōnen Gangan. Masao Kusakari stars as Fuyuki Kanda, a widowed concert pianist who impulsively adopts Fukumaru, an unwanted, plain-looking cat passed over at a pet shop, and finds his grief easing through their quiet companionship.
