The syndicated lifeguard drama created by Michael Berk, Douglas Schwartz, and Gregory J. Bonann, following the lifeguards of Los Angeles County's beaches. Cancelled by NBC after a single 1989 season, it was revived for first-run syndication in 1991 and, buoyed by strong international sales, became one of the most-watched television series in the world across nine seasons and 242 episodes. David Hasselhoff anchors the cast as Lieutenant Mitch Buchannon; Pamela Anderson joined in the show's third season as lifeguard Casey Jean "C.J." Parker and became one of its defining stars.
