Baywatch is a 2017 action comedy directed by Seth Gordon and released by Paramount Pictures, a broad reworking of the 1990s lifeguard series. Set on the fictional Emerald Bay in Florida, it follows Lieutenant Mitch Buchannon (Dwayne Johnson) and his crew: disgraced Olympic swimmer Matt Brody (Zac Efron), Summer Quinn (Alexandra Daddario) and C. J. Parker (Kelly Rohrbach). Together they push past their jurisdiction to investigate a drug operation run by resort developer Victoria Leeds (Priyanka Chopra).
